Tests are performed several days prior to the day of your surgery. Your physician and the support staff at Phoenix Medical Centre will instruct you regarding the date and time for pretesting to be done.

Please remove all nail polish.

Please do not bring any valuables or jewelry with you.

Please bathe or shower the night before or the morning of your surgery.

Please refrain from smoking on the day of your surgery.

Please refrain from the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

On the day that your procedure is scheduled, you go directly to Phoenix Medical Centre. An anesthesiologist will interview you before surgery if you are having general, spinal or monitored anesthesia (twilight sedation). You will discuss questions regarding your anesthesia experience and use of medications and drugs.
